COVID-19 has changed our world, highlighting the urgent and critical need for science, technology and innovation to help us better understand, address, cure and prevent future pandemics. We believe it’s time for Africa to rise and raise the next generation of scientists, tech drivers and social innovators. And women, as community leaders and social change makers, must be at the forefront of this movement. Indeed, women are already hard at work, leading teams, discovering scientific breakthroughs, creating ground-breaking patents and driving technology that is creating social change in their countries and communities alike.

A Media Torque Digital Publication

My Career July 2020

My Career publication seeks to fill the gap and give valuable advice on various careers. Science Careers is our inaugural edition that will be in demand under the ‘new normal’. This, hopefully, will provide young people and the general population with insights about the path to the future.

Media Torque and Events is the force behind this digital career publication intended to inform and motivate learners, students, teachers and parents to follow careers in Science, Technology and Engineering (STE).

The Science Forum 2019

The Science Forum magazine is published annually through a partnership between the Department of Science and Innovation and Media Torque and Events (Pty) Ltd.

The publication coincides with the annual Science Forum South Africa (SFSA), the meeting is the largest pan-African general science gathering dedicated to scientific research and innovation.

The two-and-a-half-day programme will bring more than 3500 participants together for discussion and debate in plenary sessions, panel discussions and interactive talks.

South African Woman in science awards

In celebration of the 16th edition of the South African Women in Science Awards (SAWiSA), the Department of Science and Technology and Media Torque and Events (Pty) Ltd have partnered to launch the inaugural Women in Science Magazine 2019. Each subsequent year, the magazine will coincide with the Awards ceremony in a powerfully illustrated celebration of the exceptional achievements of these women in science. The publication also highlights the contributions of the notable women to the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
