Chen Institute Science Prize for AI Accelerated Research

The Chen Institute and Science launched the “Chen Institute and Science Prize for AI Accelerated Research.” This initiative aims to drive advancements in artificial intelligence that can expand scientific research. Young scientists from around the world are invited to submit AI-driven projects that demonstrate significant potential to improve research and lives.

 The competition will award a Grand Prize of $30,000, with the winner’s essay published in Science and an accompanying five-year AAAS membership. Additionally, up to two runners-up will receive $10,000 each, with their essays published on Science Online and the same membership benefits, promoting sustained engagement with scientific progress.

Up to two runner(s)-up will have their essays published in Science online. They will also receive a 5-year digital subscription to Science and receive USD 10,000.

Eligibility

Entrants must be early career scientists in a field related to artificial intelligence who hold an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph. D at the time of entry and have received their degree in the last 10 years.

This is an unparalleled opportunity to highlight and amplify their pioneering research through our established conference program. This includes delivering keynote addresses to a global audience of AI experts and industry leaders, participating in influential panels to discuss the latest AI developments, and leading interactive workshops and tutorials. Additionally, recipients will benefit from our comprehensive media program, which provides media coverage and reports, further elevating their profiles and positioning them as authoritative thought leaders in the AI community.

Networking Opportunities

Gain access to exclusive networking events, including private events designed to foster meaningful connections with key stakeholders and thought leaders in the AI field.
